Hi Paddy :)

22 Jan, 2009

I bet Paddy enjoys the garden as much as you do.

22 Jan, 2009

Yes, Paddy knows where the sunny spots are. He's a real sunworshipper. Also loves to jump up on the compost heap and poke his head through the trellis to watch the world go by.

Paddy looks a cute little dog :o)

Everybody seems to like Paddy, most think he's still a puppy but he's nearly 6 now. He still thinks he's a puppy as well.

22 Jan, 2009

He looks fit and trim for a 6 year old.
Has lovely black and tan colouring. :o)

He's always running around chasing his toy ball. According to all his paperwork, he's a pure Border Terrier(like his mother) but I'm pretty sure there's some Jack Russel in there somewhere. But he's lovely whatever he is and loves everybody.

GoY member David has a Border Terrier puppy called Lucky.
You can find him on David's photos.
Nice pictures of Lucky in the snow :o)

Hello Paddy. Welcome to GOY.

Oh yes, I've found Lucky now on David's photos. He looks identical to Paddy in the rear view photo in the snow. He's lovely.I shall show the pics to my wife later. She will fall in love with Lucky.

I'll let David know about your photo here of Paddy :o)

Hi Paddy, Paul & Co., from Lucky & Co. !!!

24 Jan, 2009

Hello David and Lucky. Yes I'm sure Paddy would love to play with Lucky. Paddy still thinks he's a pup.Lucky is a really lovely looking dog and obviously a bundle of fun!

Hi Paul. That veggy patch looks really great, too! I'm a great fan of grow-your-own.

25 Jan, 2009

Only a small veg patch but unfortunately, it doesn't get a lot of sun particularly as it's shaded to the south east by tall(about 20ft high) conifers in next door's garden.I might have to re-think the kind of veg I grow there.

25 Jan, 2009

.... or buy the neighbour a tree-trimmer :o)

25 Jan, 2009

Unfortunately, next door is currently rented out because our neighbours couldn't sell. And they've moved out of the area so I don't even see them now.Never mind, I've got a veg plot that I use at one of my customer's gardens, because they don't use it and they like to have it kept productive and tidy.

25 Jan, 2009

That's great that you have an alternative place to grow veg. :o)

Not easy to sell homes in the current credit crunch !

Keen gardeners have an advantage if we need to sell in that hopefully our plots look tidy ! :o)

25 Jan, 2009

Yes, that's true but when we bought this property, nearly 6 yrs ago, it had been up for sale for a long time and I wonder if the reason for that was partly that the front garden is unusually large for a family home in this area. Most working families don't have time to look after it. Still, I saved it from being slabbed or gravelled over as most would probably have done to house their offspring's cars!

25 Jan, 2009

I've just looked at the photo of your lovely front garden.
Yes, it would have been a pity to slab it all !

25 Jan, 2009

Well done, you! As I have recently been looking to rent a property, I've found that my avid keeness to grow and keep a garden has been most beneficial in my application forms - with success! Am looking forward to beginning on a new plot soon.

25 Jan, 2009

Oh yes, landlords like their gardens looked after so they haven't got to pay a fortune to get it sorted for the next tenants.Enjoy your new plot.

26 Jan, 2009

David's gardens will easily win the 'best kept' rented garden awards :o)

~David
~ you must be the ideal tenant~you will turn an uncared for plot into a lovely garden!
Best of luck with it~put on some pics of your progress so that we can cheer you on.
The weather must get better soon so that you can get out and make a start.
It will be good for all of us to get into our gardens~assess the damage and start planning!
best wishes
Arlene
