Yes Deida they are red squirrels, around here we call them boomers.

Boomers? interesting name? he's soooo sleepy...just what happens when you have a nice full tummy...and enough for a snack and maybe brekkie! how adorable!!

Yes Lori, the name 'boomer' is thought to refer to the barks and chirps that the red squirrel makes which can be loud enough to be heard for miles. They are supposedly louder and meaner than the larger greys.

Lol...Yea Dotty, I let a jar of peanutbutter go past the expiration date so they have been living high on the hog, as we say around here...lol. If the economy doesn't pick up soon, they are going to be lucky to get stale bread. Fingers crossed that things get back to normal soon.
