Not a brilliant picture but lovely to see him anyway, especially as Spring watch was such a disaster because of the rain

Lucky you Clarice....I was really disappointed all I saw was 1 pigeon in a tree and he never moved.

Your birdwatch seems rather like mine, Maureen. Too wet and too windy! I like your little goldfinch - haven't seen one here for ages.

Beautiful, you're so lucky to see the finches. Down here, in my garden in the south of Essex I never see any finches of any variety despite putting out Nyger seed feeders and all the usual feeds.

Im in Essex too Paul Hornchurch to be precise....so dont give up hope.....During the last month we have even seen Long Tailed Tits for the 1st time here

we did the spring birdwatch for an hour and recorded starlings, woodpigeons, robin, chaffinch, blackbirds, and bluetits.

I looked out for the birds between eight and nine o'clock in the morning. Yesterday afternoon I saw about fifty starlings gather on the tree across the road.
