Never seen a Brambling...Birds getting on well

Aye they do Deida - even the large Rooks dont bother them , but come a Jackdaw or Magpie they soon scatter.

They don't seem to mind each others company BB! The Bramblngs are pretty arent they, I dont get these sadly.

Keep looking Dawn as often in amongst Chaffinches and not always instantly recognisable. That white flash down their back very pronounced.

Oh yes BB, I see the white stripe, I'll keep an eye out :-)

Thanks Amy - difficult to get the whole garden in shot at one time as just alive with birds , not many flowers but birds providing the colour at the moment.

Well done....you obviously had a good Springwatch....it poured with rain the whole weekend here and I only saw 1 very wet pigeon.....

This was taken on the Sat Milky...Sunday was a wash out but they still turned up lol

Lovely photo of these garden birds.

Is the second bird up from the bottom the one you call a brambling ? I've never seen anything like it here, I love it's distinct markings. What a lovely sight, you lucky devil ....;-)

Thanks Gilli and Sunblest . Yes Flower they really are a pretty apricot colour but we dont see them at their best.They winter visit Oct - April then return to Scandinavia to breed .

Their heads return to jet black colour in the spring .

I agree with flrcrazy....the brambling is something...very good shot BB...
