I love it, but I bet the roses are even better.

Roses are fantastic too, but I do like the look of this little corner - it must have been very relaxing to be able to sit there and enjoy the surrounds.

A climbing rose would look nice there.

there is a thornless rose at the oposite end of this patch. cant remember it off hand. but will do my best to remember it and tell you all its name.

maybe something as a rooted cutting for the lady gardener who lives in BC? just let me know and I'll try to make you one? or anyone else living in Canada?

The climbing rose at the one post of the patio cover is called: Zepherine Dhrouin. It is an old stock rose, from France originally.

I will try to root one for you this year and mail it to you, when it has taken.

I cut my roses real short in the fall. Then cover them with leaves and soil. Do you do the same? I learned this from a ''rose'' gardenerlady long time ago, when I first started out gardening, in the 70s

I have to do this, because, If I don't and the winter starts with frost instead of with a good snowfall, first? they all will freeze and die.

I used to have a great many miniature roses, I now have only a few and I brought them in this year, as I keep them in pots rather than in the ground. They bloom for me all winter long. Actually they are profuse bloomers and just lovely to have in the window. Considering that window is open ALL winter long! and it can get very cold in Ontario.

I will be makning more photographs this summer and see about posting more. I wish you good luck with your roses! and oh yes, in order to fight black spot? I have found out to plant either Lupins between them OR chives. So I will be transplanting my chives this year, And I hope it will work for them better! keep well, regards, from brush

I find that the photographs? make my garden look a whole lot better, than I think that it looks. But people are amazed at the amounts of plants I have in their and they all bloom of course.

Thank you all kindly for your compliments.
