How sweet is it eating the bird seeds?
16 Feb, 2008
Right now it is eating sunflower seeds, spilled from the feeder. They do eat plants, though I've only had a problem one year with some green bean plants that I had to fence off. There aren't too many rabbits, I think the road traffic takes it's toll on them, and there is a lot of natural food in the yard, as I don't weed my large side area, so we do ok. I comprimised by digging out my front yard weeds (no pesticides or weed killer please!) but leaving the dandilions, plantain etc at the side & back for the wildlife. I guess I am not the best gardiner, as I would rather enjoy the birds and animals than have a groomed yard. LOL!

It is nice to see the rabbit so closely. Deer come to my feeders every night, and to my garden every night in the summer. I enjoy seeing the wildlife on my land, and don't get very upset when they eat my lilies and other things trying to grow in my garden.
