It must be very disheartening working on your garden and then this happens. You obviously live in an area of incredible beauty and interest but it comes at a cost!

I do sympathise with you. I had this problem several years ago now but it still worries me whenever we have heavy rain. Hope things improve for you and your garden quickly.

How often does it happen, Sophiejo? Also, how quickly does it go back down again? I'm asking because you said you might want suggestions for plants for watery areas!!! I had some submarine plants when our stream flooded and they have survived - twice!
I do feel for you.
