Corkscrew Hazel 02.09

Xela

By Xela

Corkscrew Hazel 02.09 (Corylus avellana)

I planted this as a focal point in the middle of the front lawn outside my lounge window. It looks just as spectacular in the snow as it does on a sunny summer's day.

What a beauty. A lovely shape. These are definitely, in my opinion, one of those plants that look best in the winter without leaves. Lovely shot with the snow on it! I think the Beech (or is it Hornbeam ) in the background is another great winter plant with it's dried up crinkly leaves.
