This set buds in December, and as soon as the sun hit it, one just started going. Really slow going, but blooming non the less. :-) What a trooper!

This one has been particularly good all winter. Didn't really lose leaves, the 'swingtime' fuschia next to it was reduced to sticks. Oddly the winter buds mature without opening, I have since forced the petals apart to let it open before it falls off. I'm sure it's some odd hybrid type being so happy, I didn't get my gartenmeister through at all.

And very out of season. This is definately a hybrid, I don't imagine most fuschia continuing to try to bloom all winter. It has been very welcome. :-)

Greenthumb:
You truly have a greenthumb. It amazing what you can grow in your house and have blooming. Fuschia plants tend to have a lot of spider mites when grown indoors...do you have this problem?

I haven't had any pest problems on the fuschia. This particular one is tougher than most I think. I got it with a horrible aphid infestation but I had taken care of that before summer passed and it came in. If I get mites in anything it is usually just as it blooms. I've been paying closer attention to the jasmine and heliotrope for those pests.
