Is it grown from a bulb or seed.

I have been trying to remember the name as well . ! it,s so pretty :o)

it was grown from a bulb DP.

Could they be Tulipa turkestanica?
I had to look it up in one of my RHS books then after I had, I remembered that TT had posted a picture, so looked it up and lo & behold, if you look at TT's pics you will find it there, all nice and identified.

So far I haven't divided mine ~
just left them in the ground and they've multiplied where they are planted.

Yes its Tulip Turkestanica....probably has its origon in Turkey.I have some of these.
