Merging your garden with it's surroundings is exactly the way I try to go and this view looks superb.

WOW!
I'm stunned at the beauty of this area!
I have a similar area where TLC runs into mother nature and the "wild side" starts to take over. My wife hates the native growth, but I absolutely love the rich diversity of the native plants. It's fascinating to watch how "mother nature" takes care of the native plants.. I have learned a lot from watching the "wild area" :-)

Glad you like it N2, this is one of my favorite beds. Most everything in it is evergreen ,so it looks great year round. I get most of my color here with foliage contrasts, very little in the way of blooms. This flowerbed is in front of my kitchen window, so I get to see it alot. I really need the color it provides me in the Winter when I'm stuck inside. Glad to hear you're leaving some of the native growth, as you said, it knows how to take care of itself, and it is an excellent backdrop to your garden beds. If done right, it will blend in with nature, and look as if it's always been there.

NICE! That is really beautiful. Give yourself a big "pat on the back" for a job well done. That area is awesome! ;-)
