Did I miss something here, Gillian? What happened to your camera?
I had to buy a new one this week - the lens got stuck while I was taking photos at Wisley! NOT repairable, sadly, but I do like the new one - and insurance will pay for part of the cost.

My camera suffered from what is called by other users of the same model, the "Black Death".
