Gave it a like as such a good photo Amy , they are so voracious although dont use chemicals would admit to picking them off and leaving them out for the birds.Trouble is think that bright colour protects them and says none too tasty..

I put them in a jam jar as the John Inns Institute asks for them to be sent to them to carry out research , this year they haven,t asked so I can only assume they have done enough work on them to find out what they wanted to know about their breeding programme ...
I,m not sure what I will do with them now !! Yuk.......

They certainly look like busy beetles! I will look out for them in my garden with trepidation.

Ugh....horrible Amy....wonder where they are before the lilies grow? You can imagine them in tunnels under the ground waiting by the door............

I don,t know where they hide out Janey but if they are spending the winter in tunnels I will need to flush them out before next spring ... sprinkle the ground with sneezing powder to find out where they are , we would see these little volcanos of soil shooting into the air .... .LOL .......
