Fuschia Lambada Ready to Pop

Fuschia Lambada Ready to Pop

Tiny buds frozen in time all winter are bursting out all over it! I can't wait to see the show all summer long.

It is a very nice healthy plant growing inside your house. It is so amazing to me to see Fuchsia plants growing indoors. I've never seen this before.

Thank you each! Delonix, this was my first try overwintering. This window is not under the light and is much cooler. They dropped the big leaves and just waited through the darkness until the sun returned and started up again. I lost my gartenmeister pruning it too hard and the swingtime to the right here got spindly, but I'm more brave now. GG, this one really gets going, blooming all over! And this year it'll be twice as big! The color is this light pink with a thick ruffle of dark pink within, PP. The light pink flares back, it really is lovely and each bloom lasts a long time.

GT:

Do any of your Fuchsia plants have any bugs throughout the Winter indoors?

I've only seen Fuchsia growing outdoors because of the potential mite problems. They grow to be very large shrubs or even tree-like along most of the California Coast...depending on species.

They prob would if they were active. I have them in a cool low light situation where they store for winter like they were in a garage. Indoor, the pests always go for a sweet bloomer immediately. Once something starts perking up, I have to really keep my eye on it. I haven't seen even one on this since cleaning it up from a serious infestation it got at the nursery last summer.
