I've been watching a wood pigeon today taking twigs to our conifer hedge - not quite so cute as your sparrows but hey ho!

What a shame Deida, just checked your picture. The poor collared doves, grrrr, nasty magpies - such beautiful birds but so nasty. Hopefully the doves will be able to breed and nest again later in the season.
