Grevillea is in the Proteaceae - Protea family and Bottle Brush - Callistemon is in the Myrtaceae - Myrtle family.

They do look similar, however, they are not in the same order of plants either. I know it sounds very technical the only real similarity botanically speaking is they are both in the Kingdom: Plantae

Pretty soon you'll be a botanist. Some of the information I post can be somewhat technical. I'm not sure if it is always necessary though.

But I always find it interesting........I like to know as much as I can about the plants.........
