Now that the Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker' is coming up, there are interesting colour contrasts appearing.

I took a whole lot of Lysimachia out in the autumn to plant the others - and was worried I hadn't left enough! But, there it is still, and I know it spreads.

A few years ago, I dug my whole plant of the lysimachia out and replanted a small piece - it sulked for a few years before getting going again. I bought some Hammeredge (can't remember where though) - pieces of plastic a few inches deep you can knock into the ground - which forms a barrier and stops its wandering tendencies
