This Iris flowered for the first time this year. It is beautiful. There are four of them and I plan to enjoy every one of them.

Yeah, I think the color is great, too. I'm just glad it bloomed this year. Thanks, Bernieh.

This is gorgeous Skip. Iris seem to have gone out of fashion in the last few years, haven't they? I can't understand why, they are so pretty. I used to see a lot of homes and farmhouses with big long iris beds and they were so pretty! Maybe people will "rediscover" them again soon!

I love the unusual ones and there are plenty of varieties now. It is amazing how many there are. I have another variety preparing to bloom but the wind has been so bad recently, it is drying the edges of the bud which may have a negative impact. I guess we will see in the next few days.

Yes, I think the edging makes the flower stand out...

Hey Tina, it's one of my favorites, too. Actually, I have so many favorites it is hard to pick one above the other but I do like Irises a lot.

You bet, Fl.....I will be able to separate it next year into 3 different plants and hopefully have lots more. I have one more Iris plant which has beautiful leaves but no sign of any flowers. (besides the two I have added recently) Until it blooms, I won't even know which one it is...

Yep....It's usually worth the wait...the trouble is this is the second year it has gotten beautiful leaves but no sign of a flower...don't know for sure what to do next...give it another year? It is in the same type soil as the other two....looks very healthy...h-m-m

I am just a bit more impressed with the fancier ones, like this. I never gave them a thought until I saw these.
