Thanks for visiting and the nice comments. It gets a little frantic during spring in here, Things start stacking up. Though I can get around. I've been known to block myself in....lol. Next year the staging will be finished and the greenhouse up so alot of things can already be out or stacked in the window (rather than all over the floor) :-)

I suppose with your short growing season you cant afford to delay anything, just get it in then worry about tidying up afterwards.
It makes me feel better about our weather. I will never complain again, (Oh well just a little bit)!!!

I could wait Olblueyes, but then when the season hits you faces crowds at the nurseries, and once a flower show someone its face, the rarities are sold out! I like to choose, knowing what I'm looking at, and get them home so I just plant twhen that time comes around. This year is more in prep for my own greenhouse, where everything will move out to.

I tried Caladium for the first time last year Greenthumb. Last fall I cut them back and put the pot in my cold cellar like I do my Cannas. The cannas have been coming back up each year for a while now and I'm hoping that the Caladium does the same. It's a lot less work not having to dig up the bulbs etc. Congrats on your greenhouse. You must have talked about it before but I guess I missed it by not coming into GOY a lot during the winter. One of these days... I've wanted one for a long time but it's the expense of it as I want it heated so that I can use it year round and I would like to be able to walk into it without going outside.

Oh, thats a dream of mine Mike. Walk right into the glasshouse from the backdoor. I'll have to own something first.....lol. I got the frame of an old bug-netted pergola from a friend (we have soooo many mosquito). The netting tore out from our heavy snow this winter and he was going to toss it. So I'm getting a nice heavy metal frame. It'll just be plastic around it this year but I didn't have to buy anything. It's wonderful. I think I'll pop a little space heater in for over nights and it will work wonderfully! I'll not lose anything to a cool summer like last year again. :-)
I'm hoping the caladium does well. I'm planning to pull it in with everything as well. They haven't started up yet but do need to be pretty warm to start up, so I placed them upstairs now. I might pull one out and make sure nothing is upside down. They didn't really have a top or bottom to the bulb, that I could discern.
