...but it's got a bit of a list. The climbing rose is a red one and is already clothing the new fence. I have a white clematis for the arch.

TT - I will have to tell visitors to the garden they have to take off their right shoe lol

Yes, removing their right shoes would improve things a lot :o)

Oh, that arch looks just like the one I was looking at yesterday. I nearly bought it, but don't really have anywhere to put it, <sob sob>, lol.
Your garden looks lovely and that rose looks great on the fence.

Thanks Llew - the rose was only planted mid- last summer would you believe? I've trained it horizontally, tying it in with string, which is meant to make them produce more flowers, so we shall see. I'm a bit scared by the amount of growth it has put on - I hope it doesn't get out of hand! It has lots of buds on it just beginning to form - can't wait for it to bloom :-)

Yes, Sid. Training them horizontally does make them produce better. Do you know which rose it is?
I've not long ago planted a Maigold and if it grows like that, I won't be scared. I'll be over the moon, lol.

Sorry, Llew, I'm bound to have the lable here somewhere <rummidge, rummidge> no, can't find it....but it'll turn up dare say! It's a red one tho.
This is my first climbing rose, so not really sure what to expect in terms of size and speed of growth. Hope your Maigold does you proud :-)
