Aye Gee bit of a white flower freak .. we have a shady garden and anything white seems to lift it esp in the evenings and yes the fragrance is lovely ..poor thing was neglected and strangled by ivy has really bounced back since clearing it .

I love the smell of lilac...can't grow any traditionals here...I do believe there are some varieties I can grow but I'm swamped under with too many plants already...this is great, BB

I've just seen a dwarf white lilac at a nursery we visited over the weeked. Only £5 something, I thought that was reasonable? Didn't buy it so might have to make a return visit :)

Thats the beauty of this site Skippy being able to share plants we cant grow am sure you have many in Arizona that would not appreciate our position on the North coast of England ..you may even have one or two Spritz cant grow !
Laburnums are lovely Dawn a bit of a worry if you have small children about but then I never got into the habit of nibbling trees as a child ...

Aye fragrance is lovely esp in the evenings when the suns out ...dream on.

I thought to myself earlier, hope your lilac hasnt been knocked about. Like when the flowering cherries are in flower - its always windy and gone in a day or two :(

Sure it possible to take some cuttings Jacque ..they seem to spread quite easily so will put a few aside for you .

I ll take a row of cuttings Jacque - also possible to layer them but this can take a year but then they do end up as large plantable specimens.
