Lovely! Do you keep the heads for floral arrangements? My mum used to keep the heads on until December, then cut them and spraypaint them in gold or silver for Christmas decorations. :-)

thanks all, and yes David i had planned to do that with some of them, i left them on last year but collected all the seed as i only had a few of them, and i have sown some of the seed and sold some on ebay - which has been very popular. but this year i planted more as i love them soooo much so i should have enought of the seed heads to have the best of both worlds.

Hmmph! I don't think I do too badly! And, please, don't reply saying that your writing it with your right hand, whilst ironing with your left, making a floral display with you right foot, and thinning out seedlings with the toes on your left one, lol! (Bet you are!) :-)

i'm writting on here at the same time as drinking my coffee, eating my toast and watching the morning news on telly....hows that for multi tasking

lol web cam must be switched on without me realising David lol sounds about right Sandra, in my experience a mans idea of multi tasking is changing the TV channel (with remote) while taking a large swig of beer, and scrating various private areas lol.... sorry David did'nt mean you in that statement, i know you have far more on your plate. :D
