pretty plant :o)

Very familiar plant - it has started to naturalize over here. I see it popping up along the roadsides and in the bush.

Wow! These plants naturalize there! I've never seen these plants develop seeds pods.

They are commonly sold in every garden center and grow very
well here as an evergreen shrub or sometimes annual.

I wish I had a magical "go away snail chant". lol. They always come back no matter how many times I put the snail bait out.

In my garden the chant is "go away snails and slugs " :o)

Oh Yes, I forgot the slugs. They are under all my pots...and of course, in the soil of the plants.

I've just planted one early this week and hope it grows. Nice pic.

They are very easy to grow...they like a lot of water and fertilizer. If you have snails that would be the only problem.

They look so nice..but everything eats them.

Luckily, no snails here anymore. Kidydids are another big problem. They grow very large here. I just saw a large on two days ago. Ugh!

Andy,I read about some exotc pests in socal these days like walking sticks and Jackson Chameleons. You ever run into those those or know people who have? Not to mention the Parrots...

There’s definitely chameleons here. I’ve posted pics of them on GOY in the past. They’ve been here way before I moved here 22 years ago. Never seen any walking sticks. Parrots are everywhere here. There’s several species of feral and native parrots here in San Diego. The one species native was once thought to be feral.
