Plants are beginning to flower, now, but it is not at its best yet.

Yes - that's it! This was a 'temporary' idea, I do know what I want there, but haven't managed to find one yet.
It is likely to stay, I guess - don't you?

Looks ideal and with your skill with Clematis sure you ll know of a variety that will do it justice. Ps see I do pay attention to your garden .. teachers pet ?

That looks wonderful Spritz :)
Is that a Ceanothus near the back wall ? Or a blue flowered climber perhaps ? Solanum, Clematis ??

Very attractive Spritz...can't wait to see it in full bloom!

Looking forward to seeing it in a month or so. Must be nice to have such a deep border - it gives you lots of room to plant so many different things. I am jealous!

Louise, that's a Solanum. There is a small Ceanothus there as well, but it's past its sell-by date!
I hope more will be in flower in less than 2 weeks...guess who's counting down to the 4th of June!!!
No, BB - no Clematis this time. I've planted annuals - Rhodochiton and sweet peas.
Janque, this is my favourite part of the garden, as it is sunny. Yes, it's great to have a wide (and long) border! It must be 40 feet by about 10
I suppose. Being raised as well gives it a great advantage!

Smashing border, perfect size as well, hasnt the 4th June come round quickly, I expect you are really excited, we used to open our last garden for The Rotary, would love to get ours in the book as there are no gardens open in our village, reckon it will take another 2 years at least.

It is exciting and scary at the same time, Dd. I shall be glad when the 4th is over, maybe even enjoy the 11th???
