It looks very attractive, David. Does it taste of chocolate too?

~I have one of these in a little pot ~recently purchased~what size should it be potted up in and what does it taste like?.I also have Pineapple mint which smells amazingly like a pineapple when the leaves are rubbed!

It just tastes like regular mint, Gee :-(
Arlene, I have had this for 2 years in a square pot 1ftX1ft. I cut it right back and it resurges. like any mint, it will only grow as much as the area you keep it in. Never plant out in an open border,of course! Tastes just like normal mint, gets the name solely from the colouring, smells nothing like your pineapple mint, which is lovely! :-)

I love mint and contain it in a pot, but in the last garden I had before this one there was mint growing right along one of the beds and across the path and it took me ages before I actually managed to get rid of it. I just kept on digging it out.

Beautiful plant and nice pic David.
My friend Mona for my birthday gave me it with many other particular mints and I put all of them in a hanging basket.

That sounds interesting, Ualda. They should give you a very lush-looking basket quite quickly, I would think.

Yes David it's already starting looking nice.
I hanged the basket on a branch of the Lilac and I really love to smell it every time I walk down the garden - I will photograph it as soon as it looks fuller.

Thanks, Lindak, for the warning re planting mint in an open border. Sorry to read that you had all that hard work getting it out.
Mint and lilac all at once, Ualda? Hmmmmmmmmmmm ! :-)

I've had this for the past 2 years, and keep having to contain it. Anyone for a piece, lol?
