Thanks, Me niether Louise as you never seem to get rid of them once you've got them but I was just taken with this one. I usually only grow oriental poppies!

Thanks everyone. Yes Lyn, a bit different. I couldn't have imagined me growing Poppies but this one certainly caught my eye in the seed rack at the garden centre!

WAOUWWWWW !! that is something else again Paul well found I say, I'm not a flower person usually unless its veg its the missus likes that sort of stuff though we love clematis, just wait till I show her this she'll want to go gdn centring tomorrow i'll bet. amazing bloom!!!

Well,.....wellish. One dead cucumber plant. " Oh, I didn't know there was a pot round here!!" and beans/sweetcorn a bit dry..." Oh, I didn't know I had to water them as well, you only said the pots" But all in all....not too bad. Most plants still ok!

He's done a better job tan some people who've done it for me in the past! And he looked after Paddy(the dog) well, so I'll excuse him a cucumber plant and wilted beans !!!

It was very attractive. I don't usually like Opium Poppies in my garden but this one is a bit different. I think I kept some seeds if you'd like some!

Love this one! Probably not very legal to send opium poppy seed to Canada I suppose :(
I know they won't even sell them in stores now! I have some in my garden and half expect to get raided by the police!

I'm nor sure if I've got any left now Gillian as mine, for some reason, didn't germinate this year!Maybe I poulled them thinking they were weeds.And I've sent quite a few seeds to 3or 4 people on this and another gardening site, but I'll have a look and if I've got any left, I'll happily send them to you so you can sow them next spring.As long as it doesn't make you 'Canada's Most Wanted'
