Didnt have a tree stump to hide in ! Taken round the back of van ! Dont seem to associate vehicles with us humans !

Lovely. Our woodpeckers prefer the fat to peanuts too. Have seen a young one recently but it's been a bit camera shy!

~the one we had was on the fat balls too~ using so many at the moment that I have been looking for a source to buy in bulk.
Wilkinson's are selling tubs of 50 for £6.99~that's a good buy!.

~not bad BB but just had 25 kilos good quality birdseed and 2kg niger for £23.66 delivered next day courtesy of my debit card from food for wildbirds PO box 167 Morley West Yorkshire~is that anywhere close?

Yes Arlene....about 60miles away.Was going to check out some local suppliers because have beeen going through such a lot of seed etc.Dawn sent us some teasel seeds which are coming along nicely,and will be planting them out amongst the nettles.Hopefully the goldfinches will like them !

Thanks Spritz.The robins successfully reared four young and keeping us busy supplying mealworms to feed them with.So that was what all the bonding was about !
