Burgundy, Arlene - burgundy, please - 'cos that's my colour scheme! Loosely interpreted, I'm afraid, due to Mother Nature. lol.

I'd rather you didn't please Ian. I have enough trouble with munching snails, let alone GOY members nibbling my plants! LOL.

Spritz, did yours take a long time to actually open-up ?
Mine seem to be taking forever :(
They've been closed for a couple of weeks, how much longer ?? !!!
5 Jul, 2009
Yes, they did take an age! I have several now, in the top border too - and they have only just started to open. The ones in the new bed have overtaken them!
5 Jul, 2009
You and your new bed have got a lot to answer for Spritzy.
My arms are killing LOL

Oh thats a gorgeous plant on my 'i want this' list!!!

Interestingly enough, the Garden Centres seem to be stocking this Scabious, rather than the 'Chilli Pepper' and 'Chilli Sauce' ones, which turned out to be not as hardy as we thought.

At up, do you still have this plant or has the flooding seen it off?
I'm getting very interested in scabiosa and there are five new ones which Hayloft are selling, they look gorgeous:-)
9 Nov, 2014
It survived last winter, but if it gets really cold, that will 'do'' for it, I'm afraid. :-((
10 Nov, 2014
Are you expecting an arctic winter Barbara? :-(
11 Nov, 2014
One long-range forecast I read warned it could be, Ba, but another was totally different, so who knows?
