He decided to fly away while I was taking his photo...obviously camera-shy!

That's my Chocolate Cosmos, Sandra. It really does smell of chocolate! It's meant to be a perennial, but sadly, it isn't hardy enough to cope with UK winters...well, not last year's, anyway! :-(

Do better than me Barbara.

When I saw the photo I thought I recognised it. I had one a few years ago but sadly it didnt last the winter - you're right, they do smell of chocolate.

He was probably peeved with me poking a camera at him, Bb!

But just look at his feet Spritz...he is doing the quickstep !! Lol

Great pic. Well done.

Not really, Toto - just happenstance! But thank you anyway. :-)

I must get a choc cosmos, for my little patch. Had one in the other garden and it came up every year.

You were lucky, Linda. I do like them...I just wish they were hardier.

That was a south facing garden SPritz and we are further up the hill now. It gets quite warm further down you can feel the difference. The other house was very well protected from the wind in three directions
24 Jul, 2009
I'm sure you ARE feeling the difference, now!

Yes Spritz my washing gets dry very quickly up here. We are a lot closer to the cloud base.
25 Jul, 2009
Clouds? Don't mention the word, please. Although we have sun at the moment, there's a HUGE black c***d hovering around. Bet it opens up just as I take Henry out! :-(

It rained for most of the day yesterday even though the weathermen said it would be a dry spell first thing so I hung my washing out and put Peter in his run.....and five minutes later ....it rained for most of the day. In came Peter and so did the washing.

I never listen to the forcasters they seldom get it right.

They were right yesterday, though! (Unfortunately)...It's started off badly here, with yet more rain, but the sun has just appeared through the (dark) clouds.

It's tuesday and a sunny morning so far. I am going to help at the lunch club for the elderly. I did manage to get some dead headinmg done yesterday and Gerry cut the grass.

Yes, it brightened up here and I worked outside all the afternoon. It's a better day today...light clouds, but the forecast was dismal for later - and as for tomorrow! YUK!

It's chucking it down now. Peter had a good day in the garden though in his run. I managed to get some weeding done earlier.
