The flash went off by accident - but it shows the sheen on the petals. :-)

I'm pleased it did, it looks gorgeous. I was just thinking to myself that you couldn't paint something as perfect as that!

This was from 'Art Shades', Angie - some of the colours have been lovely, but the really orange ones look sooooo much better in my back garden with the purple and white flowers!
Thanks, Jac! The photo without the flash just wasn't as good!

oh i have'nt had any this dark orange before or do you think this could because of the lighting? it is very nice... i do like art shades anyway, they have a lot of different variations, all of which look great along my right hand bed.... i'd like something a bit more pink for the other side ... not sure if that has been bread yet though.... oh well more hardy geraniums it is then :D

Ah - I just had a thought. This could possibly be a seedling from 'Orange King' - it's near where I had them last year.............................................
I have some great news for you, Angie! I have here the 'Plants of Distinction' catalogue - and in there, they have a Calendula called 'Flashback' - and it definitely more pink that any others I've ever seen!
They have a website:
www.plantsofdistinction.co.uk
Now go and take a look! Or - order a catalogue! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))
