We have a flower bed full of Canna Indica Amy and they self seed freely. I am thinking to take these seeds home to Vancouver island and try it to grow it from seed there.
I love the leaves. The flower is bright but not extremely showy.

I have one Canna but haven't seen seeds as big as this but then our summer doesn't last long enough for them to produce pods of this size ...

Amy , these seeds are small . They just seem large because I zoomed so close. I should have put another object for comparison. They are probably not much bigger than black pepper when they dry out :-)

They are dead easy from seed. The hardest part is chipping the seed as they are like bullets!

Why would you like to chip the seed Meanie? I plant them whole.

For 100% germination in four to five days! The seed coat is so hard that it is worth the effort in the UK.
