This is another one I can't grow. As fast asI plant them, the slugs/snails here in Bracknell eat them - in 48 hours! Grrrr :-(

I remember you telling me, Andrew. There's not many plants that I CAN grow and you CAN'T...This is one of them!

I hope mine thrives in the Sussex clay, bought a tiny one last week for my little blue and yellow border. Lovely photo.

Thank you. Mine seed themselves - I really must pot up the babies!

I think the slugs and snails here in Bracknell are a different race from those anywhere else in the country as they seem to have a different diet from that listed in any garden books. Keeps me on my toes

And knees, Andrew! lol. Sorry - I know it's very annoying when these critters destroy plants. You know all about my Clem. 'Mrs Cholmoneley', don't you! I think she's finally given up after so many 'chomps'.

Spritz - have you tried copper rings? I've just purchased another batch from www.greengardener.co.uk

No - I used my cheaper patent option of a split plastic bottle. However, 'too late, too late' she cried!

Mine is still without a bud, noticed it yesterday, split it last year, no doubt set it back..........

Possibly - but I'm sure it will flower. They have a long flowering period, don't they.

Yes I do like them a reliable splash of colour.

SIGH. That was yet another job that didn't get done today...potting up the seedlings!

There is always tomorrow......tomorrow, tomorrow...sorry about that little burst in to song, got a little carried away!!!!
