Amy....they are for eating.....and very sweet. We had them in the garden but we were on second sitting as the slugs and snails tried them first!
It's a very pretty flower Dave, they were already in the garden when we came, in a raised bed, we just assumed they were Alpine....but I don't know for sure.

We have some that look just like this , they grow in every nook and cranny they can find , called 'Fragari Red Ruby ' but they only have a tiny strawberry almost like a wild one , yours will be much nicer if you have big ones Janey , yummy :o)

Sandra......I think the different colour flowers are just the differnt varieties really....I'll keep feeding them and hopefully they'll grow a lot bigger....:o)
Amy...I think that must be the name of mine...but then again the strawberries aren't tiny?? Just thought, I put them out of snail reach....but now the birds will have a feast!....:o(
