No, Homebird, the white plant is Cotton lavender, ie.Santolina. I love this fuchsia too; I had admired it in my Mother's garden for several years but didn't get round to taking a cutting until she died and the house was put on the market. I am so pleased the rather unconventional 'cutting' I took was happy enough to take in my garden.

Thank you, Homebird. I was worried this morning to find the temperature registering -6.5C, young plants like this fuchsia may struggle to survive a hard winter, which seems to be on the cards. However, looking on the bright side, the plants that Do survive will no doubt celebrate next season by outshining themselves.
