Heavenly Delonix!!!

They're so sweet-smelling. When I was at Disneyland last month there was a faux wall with large ones on it. The whole area smelled very sweet.

Amazing how even one cluster can be so fragrant!

8 Oct, 2012

Yes, it's because it full of fragrant sap...which is almost like honey. It looks like Karo syrup, though.

Karo syrup?

8 Oct, 2012

Yes, clear Karo syrup.

Looks like a cultural thing. We have a soft drink over here called Dandelion and Burdock - never seen it abroad, getting rarer over here. Very much an acquired taste.

9 Oct, 2012

How interesting! I've never heard of it before. I read it's something like Sarsaparilla...which is what the cowboys used to drink. It's not too available for sale much, either.

Must try that one day................

9 Oct, 2012

I had it a couple of times. It's similar to root beer.

9 Oct, 2012

Not too keen on root beer..................

10 Oct, 2012

I'm talking about the natural old-time root beer. Not the common stuff available today.

Ah - progress is not always better is it!

11 Oct, 2012

Very true!
