Do you think this is Iris Foetidissima too Spritz? I've watched it flower for 3 years now but still aren't keen on the flower or colour. But yes, it does keep the strap like leaves all Winter.

That's much nicer than the 'dirty mauve' one I have! I shall look forward to my 'Citrina' flowers now!

I like the flower a lot, it's very different than ones that I've seen before.

Looks like Iris foetidissima. You can tell as this has very
dark green glossy leaves all year round and when crushed they
smell of cold roast beef ! Mine have tinges of purple on the
flowers. Dont dead head it Janey . The seed pods are lovely !

I won't Mike this year...Lol, yes the leaves are always vivid and healthy looking, and I was so disappointed with the flowers when I frirst saw them, I didn't realize the Autumn berries were the attraction! Lol

I think this is the Citrina, I've just found it on the internet. It's really grown for the brilliant orange seeds which show when the seed pods split open in the Autumn. As it wasn't very attractive, i always dead head it, so haven't seen them!!!
