I like this one a lot...the plant, I mean! It's more purple than my camera shows it. :-)))

It really is a stunning colour!

Thank you - I wish you could see it for real, though!

Looks a little like unguicularis doesn't it? lovely!
6 May, 2010
Yes, but a lot smaller. :-))

Oh...that's a surprise....it's lovely!

Thanks...it just shows that close-ups don't tell the whole story. It's a sturdy little plant, and the flowers are the same size as a reticulata, but on shorter stems.

Do you grow this in an alpine border then?
6 May, 2010
Nope - it's fine at the front of the bed.
6 May, 2010
Ha! Nothing that small is ever safe in my beds!!

Oh Karen....:-(((
BTW - My Clem 'Miss Bateman' is all droopy - she has buds on ready to open, and I watered her well last night...I think she's v.v.v.poorly. :-((((

Bummer....the wilt? I find her a bit moody...she didn't flower at all last year and the year before she was lovely. So far so good this year...no flowers yet of course!
6 May, 2010
I think it must be.....she did a similar thing last year, with one stem, but the others were fine...this time, I think she'll flop out. What a pain - I hate it when they do that! :-((((
6 May, 2010
:(((( what can I say. Blooming wilt.....Grrrr......'see' ya later!
6 May, 2010
Yep...Over and out!
