It will turn even more vibrant red and then in late October will drop them. The tree (mine is so old and mossy it looks like a tree) also like to put out few blooms out in September, even his primary blooming time is early spring when it is spectacular
It has distinctively layered horizontal branching just loaded with white flowers. It is one of the few shrubs I would not mind to purchase again.
