Pansies inside balcony 2010-12-13 003 (Viola x wittrockiana)

These Pansies are in front of the door onto our balcony. I have 3 troughs & in each one I've planted spring flowering bulbs & then these Pansies on top!

These will give colour during this month of December all through the winter with the greatest flush in late spring.

Thank you, Milky. Pleased you like them. I've three of these flower troughs on my balcony & they all have Pansies underplanted with spring bulbs in them.

That trough is right in front of our balcony door but I wasn't able to move it further into the balcony as I did with the rest of the pots & troughs - there simply was enough room! So it stayed exactly where it is all through those days of very sharp frosts & very cold winds. The other two pots you see were brought further in as both have conifers in & after the wind toppled one I didn't want the others to be knocked over. The one that fell over in the wind has shown no signs of damage. :-))
