Whoa! I thought it was a chimney...it is a tree! It would be a disaster if the neighbours did not agree! Could it kill the conifer, eventuallyÉ.

Lori - if left to its own devices, the wisteria would eventually smother the tree and kill it. I cut one or two branches growing into the tree each winter so as to maintain an equilibrium

It is such a lovely thing and I wish I could grow it here...but not possible. I know that it grows in Ottawa at the arboretum. Wonder if I could create a "micro climate"?
