Enjoying a day off

Before it rained today, Benny and I went for a walk. I think I enjoyed the walk all the more because I usually work on a Wednesday but OH did the market on his own today so I could have a day off…
Walking up the driveway I passed trees and plants belonging to some of my neighbours

I feel I should know what these shrubs are, but just can’t think of the name!
They are at the top of the driveway

Once out of the drive, it’s half a mile long, we set off down the road

The cattle have not been in this field long, sheep are grazed here earlier in the year then once they are moved the field is left for a month or so before the cattle are put out. Gives the grass a chance to grow again!

Coming home, these are some of the views as I was coming back down the driveway

Then we were home, feet up and a cuppa….

And Benny? See for yourself!

WOW...thank you everyone for your comments. I am glad you all enjoyed the photos. It is a lovely area, with many wildlife sniffs for a dog! :o)

Pipsqueak ~ Benny is a Greyhound/Whippet cross and I think the Greyhound side of him keeps him calmer! It wasn't so much how far we walked as the interesting sniffs on the way which mentally tire a dog! Also, he is 13 now and gets tired quicker.

Shirley ~ thanks for identifying the shrubs for me. :o)

TT ~ thanks for making this a 'favourite', quite a compliment!
