are the fruits edible?

my plant has produced tons of fruit this year and i was wondering wether the fruits are edible or this type is decorative.

I just swallow them and they leave a nice aftertaste, the inside if the red jelly seed is woody and unpleasant so don't chew. You could squash it through a tea strainer but you wouldn't get much for your time. Nice for a garnish on a sweet though...

Yes, the fruits are edible, but definitely an acquired taste. Not exactly what you'd call 'delicious'!
