I am growing an Mexican tomotoe plant called Tometilla It looks like a dark plum but it is a tomatoe Has any one else grown these at all Thank you Donna

Hi Elleme Have not got any fruit as yet But it said in the packet it was a salsa plant

These plants self seed prolifically from bits of fruit thrown into the compost. Very tasty but lots of seed.

Elleme I did grow a cape gooseberrry a couple of years back and it was succesfull They are lovely fruits

I assume you mean tomatillo. I haven't grown those yet, although I grow the sweeter cape gooseberries. Apparently tomatillos are good in salsas. How productive have you found it compared with a tomato plant?
