Can anyone identify this conifer

United Kingdom

The conifer I am trying to identify is seen commonly around the med. It has branches that slope upwards with upward pointing terminal branches. There one growing in the temperate house at Kew so I guess it will not be hardy. Sorry the photo is not good quality but anyone who knows it will recognise it from the photo because it is so distinctive. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

It's a Norfolk Island Pine, araucaria heterophylla. Sadly, it is not hardy in the UK

Saw some lovely specimens in Australia. Of course, Norfolk island is just off the coast, well 1000 kilometres off. It's planted all over the world in warm temperate, sub tropical and tropical areas now.

How do I say thanks?
