My daffodils have begun to sprout and I wonder if I can transplant before they grow any further without damage? They are about 4 inches high and the flower is still tightly in bud.

Thank you Moon grower for your rapid reply. I will leave the daffs to early summer as you suggest. This was my first visit to the site and I have now signed up!

As a brand new member I would like to read reply number 2 but I don't know how to 'bring this up'. Can anyone talk me through the process please?

Not too sure what you mean Gardenlady, i can only see Moon growers reply and then 'your' reply to 'her' .... and then the 3rd post is your next reply/post asking how to read the 2nd reply.
Golly, this is sounding confusing ;-)

Well you can if you must, just make sure you take them out with a good quantity of soil around them so as not to disturb the bulb itself. Far better not to though, move in early summer after the leaves have died back.
