A pink Camelia in garden has developed a black substance all over its upper leaves and it's spreading- help! You can scape off the black stuff-but not wash it off .

IN case you can't find the other answer, check your plant for scale insect infestation - this can cause sticky deposits which dirt sticks to, or lead to sooty mould developing. You can treat the mould with a fungicide, and believe one of the Provado sprays treats scale.
