after my amaryllis has finished blooming what do I do with the plant so that it will bloom again next Christmas

just to add to the post, we find that they reflower when they are almost pot bound, dont be in a rush to replant them, about a centametre of spare soil around the bulb is plenty, dont be tempted to take the bulb out of the soil and dry it out, this used to be done when greenhouse space was a minimum but they flower far better year after year if left undisturbed.
