a friend of mine gave this stunning passionflower plant to me as a gift, on the label it just says passiflora, but i was wondering what type it is. looking on here i think its passiflora caerulea, but can anyone confirm this for me?
i have included photos.
also, it has not got any care advice, so any tips and advice anybody could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely P. caerulea - as it's currently in flower, I wouldn't risk planting it straight outside till risk of frost is past, so end of May at the earliest, unless the weather turns hot. Also looks like it'll need hardening off first. As for planting outside, climber (obviously), doesn't mind some shade, ordinary garden soil fine.

thanks cazzalyn- it was really kind of my friend, bless her.
thanks bamboo, for confirming, and for the advice. to harden it, shall i just stand it out in day and bring it in at night for a week or so, before planting out? will it be ok to plant in a large-ish tub rather than in garden?

Well if you must - it won't achieve its full potential in a tub though. As for hardening, yes, that's the way.
