I have a smaller one of these 'Sempervivum arachnoideum' its a type of house leek. Mine flowers only once every year is yours the same?

Thanks eveybody. Never heard of a house leek and the latin is a bi ofa mouthul.

The rosette which flowers will die. So if that is a singleton rosette, bye bye plant. I grow about 200 different ones, but sadly most of them now are unnamed.
A little tale to help you understand why putting a name to them is often impossible. The two world experts on them were presented with various plants and asked to id them. They came up with different names. Their faces were a little red when the son of one of them confessed that the plants were all the same one grown in different conditions. And that they had not got it right between them.

I agree with Owdboggy about the one rosette. This will now die so you should collect seed from the flowers to grow more.

The photo I took was last year..2009. Died off over the winter. Looks like it is starting to grow again this year.Lets hope thereis going to be more than one rosette!

It looks like a sempervivum of some kind - maybe "flaming heart" ? Perhaps someone else knows the different varieties and can identify it better.
