Has anyone had problems with a company called JParker? I ordered quite a few plants from them and I am very unhappy. I recieved tiny plug plants (thinking I would recieve 9cm potted plants) which have yellowing leaves. In particular I paid £7.95 for a 6 Dwarf Verconica collection The company haven't labelled the varieties so I do know which is which. I emailed them to say I waen't happy and they basically said tuff !!!!!. The hydrangea I ordered looks dead! They said delievery would be in 28 days and on the 28th day I recieved most of my plants after another 18 days I recieved the last plants. I won't be using this company again. Can anyone suggest good websites for plants. The best I have had is from a bird seed company that is now selling plants.

i used them once and i even thought they were strange, thats why never went back to them , and that was years ago..
Have you tried a firm called Crocus? they are not too bad and ive not had any trouble with them.
Also you might want to try DT Browns , they are brilliant

I had a bad experience with them too, Great.
I wrote a blog a while ago listing some good online companies/nurseries that sell perennials, if these are what you want and you have a chance to read it, it would give you some names to look into.

I also ordered from them last year, the plants were rubbish, never again.
I usually order mine from Gardening Direct, they are brilliant.

I have never ordered anything from J parker although I have from T&M and I will not be doing again they seem to be very slow with delivery I have found the best place online is EBay the reason being that you find most sellers are small nurseries also you can leave feed back and you also get full support from EBay and PayPal

I have ordered a few things from them when on offer, i must admit have not been brilliant, ordered geranium phaeum, supposed to get 3 but they sent 2, one survived. Ordered some Astrantia Major which have done fine, but they are more pinky coloured than white. Have got a Hydrangea Annabelle which was very small, but on offer, seems to be doing ok at moment

Great you maybe also covered by the distance selling act it may help so at least you can get your money back.

Ive had no end of trouble with them this year - never again. Best thing to do is take photos of the condition of the plugs/plantsas they arrived and attach them to an email to them. Wait a couple of weeks and if the plants have died let them know by email again- they usually replace them.
Wrt to labelling - if they were in the green plastic plug holders (which hold 6 ), each individual plug chamber has an identifier A, B, C etc embossed in the plastic and the white label list whats in each chamber

I have taken photos I did that first, after all its there word against mine. Thanks Paulr999 I kept the green plastic holders. Another Email I think as quite a lots of plants have died now.

Their plants always SOUND so good, and LOOK so good, but when they arrive are minuscule! I will never use J Parker again. Crocus are marvellous, very reliable, and all plants beautifully packed.

think I will use them in future as a few people have said Crocus are good. Thanks Sheliabub

Hi Christina, the trouble here is, I only have B&Q round here to buy plants from, they always look dead or dying of thirst. Living in London its hard to get decent plants so I have to rely on mail order and I have to rely on the company giving me the descriptions and photos of there plants. Once they've taken my money its out of my hands and I get poor quality plants. Oh how I wished I could win the lottery and move to the country. Where
1) people are much nicer,
2) food is fresher,
3) the plants are straight out of the nursery and
4) the quality of life is better.
Who wants to be my fairy godmother and make my dreams come true ???????? lol

Great presumably you ordered on-line and paid using a credit card. If so contact your card company and put the payment into dispute. Explain the problem and that you have advised the company you are not happy and they are not being helpful. Good luck!
